Your fitness journey isn’t a linear one.I have been through many stages of my journey. A lot of trial and error, growth and A LOTTTT of learning. Majority of the time it is not a straight line from A to B. There will be failures and mistakes but that’s where you learn to grow. So let’s break it down:✨2018: I hadn’t really started my fitness journey yet. I had trialled a few online apps where I started to do a couple of at home workouts but didn’t really know what I was doing. I was eating whatever I wanted, knew nothing about macros or calories and was very insecure about the way I looked (I had no reason to be).Flash forwardddddd✨2021-2022:I became obsessed. I had found a style of training that I loved, learned about counting calories and it started to over take my life. I would track my meals to the EXACT macro and would never eat out because I knew I couldn’t track it. I would exercise multiple times a day and be so stressed if I didn’t train thinking that I would lose everything I’ve worked for. With this increased training, I wouldn’t increase my food intake to compensate so I was in a big calorie deficit.Due to this, I became very lean. From memory, I was around 9-10% body fat. Now for a woman, this is extremely low. It’s funny because at the time I still thought there was fat to lose 🤯✨2023/today:I am the heaviest/healthiest & happiest I have ever been. I have learned balance and I have learnt to rest. Exercise isn’t something we should use to punish ourselves for indulging in food we love, it is admiring what the body can do and achieve. If I’m not feeling up for a workout, I’ll rest. If I can’t make it to the gym that day? That’s fine!
